iTronic BT (Bluetooth Phone Kit with or without ipod)

UPDATE NOTES: WE DO NOT ENCOURAGE UPDATING UNITS THAT HAVE NO OUTSTANDING ISSUES. MOST SOFTWARE UPDATES ARE TO ADDRESS NEW CAR MODELS..... BOTTOM LINE, IF YOUR UNIT WORKS NOW, DO NOT UPDATE IT FOR THE SAKE OF UPDATING.

This unit is fully upgradable after installation in the car - new software updates will be posted here. They can also be emailed to you with a request or we can also mail you an update SD memory card for $19.00.

The iTronic BT has TWO software packages inside it. The BT software is what does the work of making the iTronic work with your car. The Parrot software does the work of making the iTronic work with your phone.

iTronic Bluetooth firmware version 1.8.0 available now

iTronic Parrot firmware version 3.12 available now

To do the update, download the desired file and COPY it to a blank SD card. The smaller the capacity of the card, the better off you are (ex: 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB - NOT 1GB, 2GB etc). You will not harm a unit by updating it more than once. To update an iTronic:

  1. Copy the downloaded file to a SD card.
  2. Place the SD card in the iTronic memory card slot until it clicks in place.
  3. Turn on the car.
  4. Wait 6 minutes for the update to complete (this step is VERY important, do not wait less than 6 minutes!).
  5. Turn off the car, remove key, open drivers door.
  6. Remove SD card and wait 2 minutes.
  7. Your iTronic is now updated.
  8. Check the SD card in your computer for a new text file on it (itronic.txt) - this file will show the current configuration and version number. If this file does not exist OR the version number is not correct, the update did not happen.

iTronic iPod AUDIO (NON-BLUETOOTH Kit)

The iTronic Audio has ONE software package inside it. The firmware software is what does the work of making the iTronic work with your car.

iTronic SAT SIEMENS firmware version 1.02.21 available now (posted December 12th, 2009) - THIS VERSION IS FOR SIEMENS HEAD UNITS ONLY!!! (example, 04,05 S Class : 05 SL Class : 04,05 CL CLass and some others. If in doubt please call before installing)

UPDATE NOTES: We are posting this special iPhone iOS4 update as a courtesy. Please see Triamp Technologies main website at http://www.viseeo.com for complete update issues, software and instructions. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SOFTWARE IS INTERIM DEVELOPMENT AND IS FOR THE iOS4 iPHONE ONLY. It may prevent some other brands of phones from working properly. Eventually this software will be rolled into a major update to coincide with other brands of phones.
